STEAM TLPrivacy Policy

Steam TL displays approximate Turkish lira equivalents of USD prices on the Steam store and optionally compares store prices. Steam TL is an independent extension and is not officially affiliated with Steam.
Information stored on your device
Supported USD prices and the wallet balance on the Steam store are converted to TL on your device. These values are not sent to the server. Your settings, manual exchange rate, and recently retrieved exchange rates and store prices are stored in your browser.
Service connections
The rate source is sent to the server to retrieve exchange rates, and the game identifier (App ID) is sent for store comparisons. Requests include an extension ID that is not unique to individual users.
With a manual rate, calculations take place on your device and no automatic exchange rate is fetched. Store comparison is a separate setting and connects to the server when enabled. Turning off store comparison stops new comparison requests.
Personal information
Your Steam login details, Steam account ID, cookies and payment information are not collected or sent to the server. The extension contains no advertising or usage tracking.
Cloudflare and security
The service runs on Cloudflare infrastructure. IP addresses and connection information may be processed to provide the service and prevent abuse. Temporary security records derived from IP addresses are used for rate limiting. Cloudflare processes data under its own privacy policy. This webpage uses no analytics or tracking cookies.
Other services
Exchange rates and prices are obtained from TCMB, ECB, free-market sources and IsThereAnyDeal; regional prices are obtained from Steam. Game IDs may be sent to the relevant providers. The service server makes these requests; users’ IP addresses are not added to these requests.
Store, SteamDB and other external links are subject to the respective sites’ privacy policies.
Bug reports and suggestions
Submitting feedback is optional. The form runs on Google Forms. The description, version information, game link and any contact address you enter in the form are processed by Google and made available to the developer. The extension does not automatically send these details to the form. Providing a contact address is optional. Do not submit passwords or payment information.
Retention and deletion
Settings and recently retrieved exchange rates and prices are stored on your device; the developer cannot access these local records. “Reset” only restores default settings. To remove all local extension data, uninstall the extension.
Exchange rates and store prices stored on the server are public information. Temporary security counters derived from IP addresses are configured to be cleared automatically after they expire; infrastructure delays are possible. Records maintained by Cloudflare and Google are subject to their respective privacy policies.
Data use
Steam TL handles user data in accordance with the Limited Use requirements of the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy; data is not sold or used for advertising.
